Today's coupon industry is in transition as new distribution vehicles are evolving.  Retailers and retail clearing houses are also changing the ways they process coupons and submit their respective data to manufacturers or their agents for redemption.

As the industry continues to move toward one-step or single count programs, James Santella & Associates provides our One-Step and Electronic Clearing Audit Services to ensure that the production of the coupon data file is transmitted in an accurate manner with complete recording of all transactions.

The objective of auditing a One-Step Processor or Electronic Clearing Service is to verify that the processor is adhering to all the requirements and that they are in compliance with the policies set forth in the One-Step Processing Agreement.

The audit will ascertain that procedures have been implemented to provide adequate assurances that the coupons are processed accurately, and that the production of the data file will be transmitted in an efficient manner, with complete recording of all transactions.

The audit ensures that internal controls are in place for the proper  storage of the processed coupons and to provide proper security and certification of the destruction of the coupons, where applicable.
